Fortunately, current wedding photography trends such as the reportage style seem to produce much more natural and candid shots, less posed than in the past with less of the formal line ups. Maybe its the art of a good photographer who can make the posed image look unposed, if you see what I mean, which brings me to the image below. Lets take a look.

So to the basics: this is well exposed, accurately focused on the couple with a shallow depth of field, which draws them out of the frame. Its nicely composed with the bridal party in view and there is real motion in this image, the couple striding out in step together with real purpose. Im not sure if this picture was posed or set up, but it looks natural and thats what matters. I love the way that the faces portray the feeling of the moment; look at Gordon, this is a seriously proud man with a proper swagger, and Betty - joy written all over her face - lovingly clutching her mans arm. The faces in the group behind also convey the excitement and energy of the scene; they actually look like they are struggling to keep up!
Anyone would be proud to capture this image making the most of whatever tricks todays DSLRs can provide you with. I dont know what kit was used for this but I imagine it was pretty agricultural by todays standards.
So well done to Uncle Ken for a technically excellent and timeless shot which captures the joy and happiness of the moment. After all, thats what wedding photography is all about isnt it?
